Tree Climbing and Precision Felling

Older trees, diseased trees, live or dead trees – those that become a hazard or pose a threat to property often reach a point where removal is the best option. Maybe that cottonwood was a nice little tree when you built the house twenty-five years ago, but it’s grown up rapidly and now looms over your home and is quick to shed limbs when the wind picks up. No matter the size or type of the tree, we have the equipment and knowhow to take it down safely and effectively. Some trees require climbing and rigging to get on the ground, other situations allow precision felling from the ground. We’ve got you covered whatever the scenario. Contact us for a free estimate and let’s get some work scheduled.

Chipping and Debris Disposal

Chipping is a huge part of most tree jobs; it makes clean-up efficient and timely. It is a great alternative to burning during the dry summer months when fire danger is high, or any time of year to help keep the valleys’ air clean. With up to 12” diameter chipping capacity, whether large or small – we’ll make sure your brush piles, branches, and small trees go away. Wood chips are great for composting, garden pathways, keeping dust and weeds down on freshly disturbed soils, and a variety of other applications. Chips can be dispersed, piled, or hauled away depending on your preference. When dispersed evenly over an area, like in some forest thinning operations, chips actually help the ground retain moisture while putting organic material back on the land. An all-around great option.

Thinning and Defensible spaces

Making sure your home and property are defendable in the event of a wildfire is something everyone should take seriously. Luckily there are some basic steps to help ensure not only the safety of your home and outbuildings, while simultaneously increasing the health of the trees and natural environment surrounding your home. Thinning your land could be cutting out a few trees around your house or multiple acres of treatment. By thinning out overgrown, densely packed trees and leaving the healthiest ones nicely spaced apart you’ve reduced the amount of fuel a fire would need to burn uncontrollably, while giving the trees that are left a better chance to grown healthily and survive future fires. Aesthetically, properly thinned stands of trees or chunks of forest look much nicer than overgrown thickets also. Making your space defensible could be taking out a couple trees along your driveway in that narrow spot, ensuring that an emergency vehicle could make it through should the situation call for it. Or it could be removing any trees within a certain distance of structures. These are some of our most common services, so please contact us if you have any questions and we’ll provide a professional solution.
